Debbie Carroll-Boyce, Ms. Senior America 2011/2012, resides in Frisco, Texas. Debbie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications with a Teacher Certification in Speech and Theatre from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also earned a Master of Education Degree in Counseling and Mid-Management Administration from Texas Women’s University. Debbie was a teacher, counselor and principal for 31 years, which included 14 years as a middle and high school teacher and counselor and 17 years as an Elementary School Principal. She earned top awards as an Educator and Principal including as Principal she opened and lead her elementary school in Texas to receive the United States National “Blue Ribbon” award presented and accepted by Debbie at a White House ceremony in Washington, DC. She was named “Most Positive Principal” by the Power of Positive Student Organization, and Star Community Newspaper’s “Reader’s Choice Award”. Debbie’s school was also named by Dallas Magazine a “Top 25 School” in Texas based on Science and Math scores, and she was voted “Best Teacher” by her students. She studied and trained with the Zig Ziglar organization and implemented The Power of Positive Students curriculum with all of her students.
Debbie is currently employed and holds an active Texas Real Estate License with the #1 real estate company in Texas. She has received numerous sales awards at Ebby Halliday Real Estate Company including “Honor Roll”, “Diamond Award”, “Platinum Award”, “Star Achiever” and “Excellence in Customer Service Award”. Frisco Newspaper readers recently named Debbie “Readers’ Choice Best Realtor” for the second consecutive year, and “Mover and Shaker to Watch”.
Volunteer and Community Involvement: Debbie now utilizes her talents tutoring students as a volunteer. She is also a volunteer helping seniors at retirement communities. Debbie also speaks and performs at various community and business organization meetings. She is planning to develop a program that will champion mental and physical wellness.
Debbie is a third generation active member of her hometown community Frisco, Texas. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Frisco and also often attends the Hope Fellowship Church in Frisco. Debbie is currently a member of the Frisco Heritage Association, Frisco Area Retired Teacher Association, Life-time member of the Parent-Teacher Association, Cameo Club and Tap Dazzlers in Training. Debbie is a former Board member and President of the Collin County Ballet Theatre and a founding Board member of the Frisco Association of the Arts and founding Board member of Frisco Style Magazine.
Special Interests/Hobbies Dancing, performing, working out (including yoga, zumba and kick-boxing), motivational speaking, listening to music, reading, spectator sports and spending time with her daughter Brittany.
